"Country Music's Biggest Night" aka the CMA Awards are right around the corner, and among the many talented artists being recognized at Wednesday's awards show is Taylor Swift. The international superstar will receive CMA's Pinnacle Award this year!
The award calls attention to an artist who has accomplished national and international excellence with concert performances and record sales in country music. The Pinnacle award was created in 2005, and presented to Garth Brooks who is the only other recipient.
In a press release, CMA President of the Board Ed Hardy says, "I can't think of a better opportunity than 'Country Music’s Biggest Night™' to present an award of this magnitude to an artist of this caliber. I've known Taylor since she was 16. She came to my office with her Mom to play her music and I was amazed. Taylor's outstanding career epitomizes the definition of the Pinnacle Award."
With all of Taylor Swift's record-breaking, and bar-setting achievements throughout her career so far, at only 23 years old (especially after her last album RED), there is certainly no one more deserving of the award.
The Pinnacle Award will be presented to the country/pop star during the 47th Annual CMA Awards, which airs live on Wednesday, November 6th at 8 p.m. (ET) on ABC.
